Ikorodu Peace Initiative Commends Operatives, Support Them With Xmas Package

The management of the Ikorodu Division security architecture, Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited, IDPIL/GTE, has commended operatives of its Local Joint Taskforce (LJTF) for its effective security support in the last 12 months.

The commendation was issued on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, by the Executive Secretary of the body, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru, during a parley with the operatives.

At the meeting held at the Regal Hall, Olu – Odo, Igbogbo, about 200 IDPIL operatives were also presented with 10kg bags of rice and life chicken as support for the yuletide season.

Otunba Ganiyu, speaking, said that royal fathers and entire residents of Ikorodu Division, are proud of them and commending them for their activities.

“I must say that you have done very well, and the IDPIL, royal fathers and residents of Ikorodu Division are very proud of you. They have been commending your activities and how you have provided security agencies with necessary support, especially in term of intelligence gathering”, Otunba Abiru said.

“Since your operation started, residents of Ikorodu have been sleeping with their eyes closed, and they are appreciative of your impacts in combating insecurity.

“Like we did last year, we are also providing you with rice and chicken as support for the yuletide season.

“In addendum, and because you have done very well, we are also going to have a party for you on December 20. It’s going to be a real party where we are going to eat good food and celebrate you and show our appreciations”, the Executive Secretary said.

The Administrative Secretary, Mr Taiwo Salami Awolaru, also speaking, said that all the operatives must be in full ceremonial dress for the party.

Akogun Lanre Olabinjo, Commandant of the IDPIL LJTF, who led the team to the meeting, thanked the committee for its unprecedented support for the local security in Ikorodu.
“On behalf of the entire members of the Local Joint Task Force, Ikorodu Division, we are using this medium to thank the IDPIL for the support being rendered to us. We have not been having support over the years, despite our efforts in combating crime all over the Division.

“We have been ensuring that the activities of cultists, robbers, kidnappers and other criminals are not thriving in Ikorodu.

“ln this past years, we have been using our own resources to sustain our operations, but now that we have the IDPIL, the situation has changed greatly for better, and we thank you for that”, the LJTF Commandant said.
